Galanthus fosteri is a small species from south east Turkey and Lebanon. It looks like a diminutive galanthus elwesii with bright green leaves.
It is usually reported as somewhat tender and pot culture under glass is usually recommended; this has not been our experience at all. Our plants are grown outdoors and have been completely unscathed through numerous hard winters. It is early emerging and flowering and has never suffered. It is one of the few we have that is regularly targetted by slugs.
